2.         DISTANCE TRAVELED PER HUNTING VEHICLE:

Between different hunting areas and in the course of actual hunting, provided not more than two (2) trophy hunters and one (1) observer, per kilometer traveled, US$1.

3.         VAT (VALUE ADDED TAX):

This tax is levied by the Government of Namibia and prescribed by law.  It requires the host of the trophy hunter to collect the tax from the guest, report on it and pay it over to Government every two (2) months.  The said tax is 15% on all services supplied but trophies exported from Namibia are exempted.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

1.         DEPOSIT TO CONFIRM BOOKING

A 50% deposit based on the total of the current day fee is required to confirm the booking/reservation and paid into our bank account.   The deposit is only based on the day fee and not on the trophy fee in order to make the calculation of the required deposit easier.  For details see section “ENQUIRIES AND RESERVATIONS” on our web-page.   The balance of the day fees together with the trophy fees, need only be paid at the conclusion of the hunt.

2.         CANCELLATION AND REFUND

When a booking is cancelled, the deposit made will only be refunded, in whole or in part, if good reason is provided by the person for whom the booking was made and the deposit paid.  This provision is necessary to ensure that the hunt will take place as scheduled; enable us to cover costs which have to be incurred in advance; to prevent loss caused by the refusal of bookings for a particular period due to the existing booking which the depositor subsequently seeks to cancel.

3.         CHANGES IN CONDITIONS AND TARIFF:

We reserve the right to change the current conditions and tariff whenever changing circumstances necessitate such changes.  However, such changes will only take effect four (4) calendar months subsequent to the date the changes were made and published on our web-page.  The trophy hunting season as laid down by Namibian Law is from 1st February to 30th November of each year.   There will consequently be a general review of conditions and tariffs on the 1st of October of each year.   Such review may result in an increase in the tariff or the tariff remaining as before or even a decrease in tariff, depending on the relevant circumstances at the time.  Such changes will only take effect from the 1st February of the following year.  However, a guest who has booked the hunt and paid the aforesaid deposit before the changes, if any, were published on our web page-  ‘‘ http://www.gravensteinghf.com/trophy.htm ” or notice thereof given by us directly or by our agent  on our behalf, will only be liable to pay  at the rate applicable before such notice  was given and provided the hunt is completed within 12 calendar months from the date on which the booking was made and the required deposit paid.

4.         CURRENCY APPLICABLE:

The tariffs for hunting are quoted only in US$, but any guest may pay the equivalent in any international currency, provided such guest pays the equivalent of the aforesaid dollar tariff as reflected in the then current exchange rate and in addition pays the current  commission charged by Namibian Banks for its services.
